How We Review
Short answer: The Sauna Experts does not conduct hands-on product testing. We build every review from verifiable sources — manufacturer specifications, third-party editorial and YouTube testing, published lab reports and certifications, warranty terms, and verified owner reviews — and score every product against the same eight criteria.
Our SourcesManufacturer specifications and documentation. Heater output, temperature ranges, materials, dimensions, electrical requirements, and certifications, taken from official spec sheets and manuals.
Third-party editorial reviews and independent YouTube testing.Where independent reviewers have measured performance — heat-up times, EMF readings, temperature verification, teardowns — we cite their findings and attribute them.
Published lab reports and safety certifications. EMF and VOC test reports, ETL/UL listings, and other third-party certifications published by manufacturers or testing bodies.
Verified owner reviews. Feedback aggregated across retailer listings, forums, and review platforms. Owners live with these products for years — their reports surface recurring defects, shipping issues, and support experiences that no spec sheet shows.
Industry experience. Our editorial team brings more than 15 years of experience in the sauna industry, which informs how we weigh specifications, spot corner-cutting, and compare brands.

What We Don't DoWe don't purchase and physically test products, and we never present third-party measurements as our own. When a performance figure comes from an independent reviewer or a lab report, we attribute it. Where a claim can't be verified, we say so or leave it out.
CorrectionsIf you believe anything in our reviews is inaccurate, contact us. We explain our reasoning transparently and correct verified errors promptly.
